Prologue:  It was pleasant Diwali afternoon at Calangute Goa wherein we were enjoying our stay at Ibis styles Calangute.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After enjoying hearty swim at Calangute beach in morning and play time at hotel, then it was time to explore local Goan food. Chicken Cafreal along with fish were explore list.

We reached the restaurant with our Goan saddle (of course scooty) at around 1:00 PM.

The restaurant has lovely ambience and has typical Goan vibes. The service time here is quick and food here is tasty.

Few dishes we tried here were :

1. Chicken Cafreal with Poie
2. Chonak Rava Fry
3. Prawns Rava Fry
4. Bombil Rava Fry

All 4 dishes were awesome and delicious. The fried fish here were evenly fried and crispy. The Chicken Cafreal here was the showstopper and along with Poie it deserved Burping ApplauseRawa fried Chonak and Prawns were very awesome.

All these were washed down our food pipes with softdrinks.

Prologue:  It was pleasant Diwali afternoon at Calangute Goa wherein we were enjoying our stay at Ibis styles Calangute.

After kids play time and swimming pool sessions, we decided to explore local Goan food. Being nearby, Fish House was preferred.

We reached the restaurant by  with our Goan saddle (of course scooty) at around 1:30 PM.

Our red Goan Saddle

We were welcomed by heavy flow of food aroma of crispy fried fish which got us salivating and our tastes buds activated.

It appeared small joint with comparatively less sitting area (20 seats). We were fortunate to find a table in center. There is usually rush during lunch and dinner hours.

The service time here is quick and food here is tasty.

Few dishes we tried here were :

1. Prawns Thali
2. Surmai Thali
3. Prawns Rava fry

All 3 dishes were awesome and delicious. The fried fish here were evenly fried and crispy. The Rawa fried prawns were the showstopper and deserved Burping Applause.

Epilogue: It was drizzly evening at Lonavala after adventure filled day at Della Adventures.

Having seen recommendations online, we (myself, wife and both kids) decided to try dinner at this Zhatka restaurant.

It is famous for its Chicken Misal. However misal as per us was breakfast item and hence decided to skip it.

Initially we ordered Masala Omlette Pav for kids. It was piping hot when served

                                                             Masala omlette pav

Then we tried Mutton Sukha Fry. It was super tender and awesomely spiced.

                                                                        Mutton sukha

Then comes main course with Mutton Thali. It too was evenly spiced.

                                                                             Mutton thali

Then we ordered the iconic chicken Kheema as additional dish. It was awesome. We tried it with Jawari bhakari instead of Pav.

                                                                    Chicken Kheema

Restaurant is typical Marathi restaurant and serves only Maharashtrian drinks such as Solkadhi, Kokum sarbat etc...(have no soft drinks in their menu)

Although the restaurant needs to maintain its ambience and overall vibes were not very cheerful.

The The food prices are reasonable given the taste and quantity.

Overall it was good experience with tasty food.
